Cozmo

I just went through the "Catitude" photos and noticed the only photo I had posted of my darling cat Cozmo showed off his "Catitude" and not his adorable face. I can't have that!!!

Acapulco Gold II

Shown here is an emerging bloom of hibiscus Acapulco Gold. When open it transforms as it ages. The center is a deep red. The pedals start out orange and slowly fad to a pale yellow. Just gorgeous! I wish the plant had survived the winter so I could capture some more photos of this magnificent flower.

Photo shown taken July 2009.

Acapulco Gold I

I have to face reality. My hibiscus, Acapulco Gold, did make it through the winter. I followed directions for caring for an exotic hibiscus and no such luck. All I have left is a twig and it's showing no signs of new life. I tested it for life and none was found. I bid it a fond farewell. This was my second attempt at having an exotic hibiscus and I am not going to try again for the time being. It was such a beautiful hibiscus when it bloomed (above). It even changed colors as the bloom matured. I will miss it and am proud I have some wonderful photos from last year for which I will always enjoy.
