Shown here is an emerging bloom of hibiscus Acapulco Gold. When open it transforms as it ages. The center is a deep red. The pedals start out orange and slowly fad to a pale yellow. Just gorgeous! I wish the plant had survived the winter so I could capture some more photos of this magnificent flower. Photo shown taken July 2009.
Beautiful. Too bad the plant died over the winter. You'll have to buy another one!
